So...My friend Laura came to visit me and we had a blast together. It was a great encouragement to the both of us to spend some time catching up. A few things on our list of adventures...
We spent some time just walking around Antigua (where I now live) checking out some ruins and beautiful scenery.
We hiked the volcano at night. It was incredible! (6x for me!!)
Alfonso from the ministry invited us over for some tipical Guatemalan food made by his mom. He failed to mention that two incredibly large turkeys would be watching us eat. His mom is saving them for Christmas dinner. I got up to take a picture with them and they started going bazerk! I don't scare easily...but I really thought they might eat me!!
Went to the beach in Monterrico (Pacific Ocean) and had to take the car down the river on a little boat to get there.

Went to the Auto Safari (Drive through zoo) and nearly had my face licked by a giraffe.
and then enjoyed some delicious ice cream while we waited out the rain.
And of course spent some quality time with the girls and in the office.
