I apologize for the long delay in updating you all on the situation here at the Oasis. Praise the Lord things have settled down significantly, but not before a few more "episodes." Unfortunately, another one of the girls involved in the infamous day decided her punishment was simply unbearable and she too ran away. Her name is Gaby. Thankfully her family was willing to take her in, although we continue to pray for her health and safety there.
The following week, another "young rebel" decided to make death threats against one of the younger ones, pushed her around a bit, and tore up all her clothes. Not surprisingly, Sindy ran away afraid for her life. Fortunately, we were able to find her and she was more than happy to come back...just a little scared and irrational for the moment.
So...since that point...we have had no huge disasters, only good moments. The girls are settling back into the routine of things more and more and are slowly regaining their confidence in us. We do still have some pending investigations against us. We have passed one successfully thus far and are praying the next two will be dismissed as easily. Thanks for your continued prayer!
